1) The information is repeated that Jesus will return from heaven and that His return will be visible to all (“every eye will see Him”). 2) “All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him.” Why will they mourn? This is an open question. Partly from the realization that they have rejected their Savior, partly due to “the bringing to light of what was hidden in darkness,” “the revelation of the heart’s intentions,” and the previously mentioned assessment that will be given to everyone at the moment of Second Coming; 3) A passage from the prophet Zechariah is also quoted here.¹
