“But others also know about bread. You are not the only one who came up with such ingenious commercial plans!” Rodenstock said ironically.

Kriegman considered.

“Yes, we need to protect our ‘gold mine’ on Fair Island,” he said. “But I think that with our money and connections, we will succeed.”

“Others also have money and connections,” Rodenstock did not let up.

“But what to do then? This is all necessary, and everything is decided by this, isn’t that what you said?”

There was no alternative outcome. Rodenstock was forced to agree. And, no longer arguing anymore, they began to think about a plan of action.
