Currently there are 20 stories numbering 579,699 words that will take 2 d, 0 h to read, and we keep adding more! Make your book part of the Books4you project. What’s in it for me?
Every author is looking for more readers. We provide an additional space where readers can find your stories. You can have the complete book hosted here, or just a few sample chapters to whet the readers’ appetite… It’s up to you!
Your book automatically appears on this site in multiple ways: on your Author page, on the Topics and Genres page, in the Books list and, of course, in Search. If you want additional promotion, you can send us Reviews to publish: they appear on the home page in random order, and each one links to your book.
You can also request a Featured status for your book, which will highlight your book’s cover at the top of the home page. There is a limited number of spots in that section (currently 8), so if there are 9 or more Featured books, they all have to compete for the position, which is selected randomly. In the future there will be a separate charge to keep your book’s Featured status “sticky” which will guarantee the book’s cover will stay visible on the home page. It will last for a year and will be completely optional. If there’s demand for this feature, we will add additional promo spots.
If you have multiple books in the series, you can group them into a Collection. If they are about the same main character, you can group them by Character. Both Collections and Characters are additional web pages that help with your book’s SEO (Search Engine Optimization). In other words, the more your book is mentioned in various contexts, the better.
Each book can have a Buy This Book link to your preferred online store or to your Books2Read page with multiple links.
Additionally, you can request a custom-built link-in-bio website for your book. In the future there will be a charge for it, but currently we can build you one for free for each book with at least 3 chapters hosted on this site. Each such website is hosted on a subdomain of our website, is connected to Google Search, and has Analytics you can view (if you have a Google account). See website examples here and here. NOTE: We suggest one site for a Collection or a Character, with separate pages for each book, but it’s up to you.
Then there’s our newsletter. We try to send out a monthly update listing the new authors, books, genres, and topics. We are also considering a paid service dedicated to only one book in the entire email—yours! But we’re not there yet… 🙂
What’s in it for you?
Every website needs new visitors, and adding your content to our website will drive new visitors. Having you link to and promote your book’s page on our site will help with the website’s SEO, which will help us and, by extension, will help you get more visibility on the web.
Web promotion and SEO is a long game, so we want to keep your book on the site forever. That’s why the link-in-bio websites we build for your books are permanent, without an expiration date or ongoing maintenance fees. However, you can always request your books and the link-in-bio sites to be taken down—after one year.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, you help us build our audience. Who knows, perhaps in the future you will buy something we published because you clicked a link in our email…
Who is this “We” you keep referring to?
The Books4you project is created and maintained by BOOP (Books Out Of Print) Market publishing located in the USA. We made it to help promote our own books, so we’re very interested in its success. We specialize in digitizing old print books and handwritten manuscripts, OCR, book layout and print preparation, cover design, audiobook and eBook production, on-demand printing, and translation services. Most of our books are sold on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Google Play, etc. Contact us via the Feedback form if you want our services.
Great! How do I get started?
First, send us a note using the Feedback form indicating your interest in having your book(s) added to our site. We will contact you from our main email account with specific details; you can reply and send all the materials to that email. Typically, that would be the book title, the book cover, author’s bio (no photo), at least 3 book chapters, genre and topic info, any reviews you want to use, and a Buy This Book link. NOTE: This convoluted process is to safeguard against SPAM.
If your book is accepted, we will handle all the publication work ourselves, free of charge. Once your book is live on our site, we will send you the link to it. In return we only ask that you place an active link to our website and promote your book’s page as much as possible (for example, on social media and to your own mailing list). There is no limit to the number of books an author can have on our site. NOTE: Content for mature audiences (18+) will not be accepted. We also reserve the right to refuse any and all books to be listed on our website.
Second, sign up for our newsletter. That way you will know when the email mentioning your book has gone out!
Third, invite your author friends to join this project and your reader friends to sign up for the newsletter!
