A. The Second Coming
by Tatulchenkov, MaksimA1
At the Last Supper, Jesus speaks directly to his disciples about His imminent departure to the Father and His subsequent return. In a more specific sense, these words can be applied to Jesus’ appearance to the disciples after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. But the deeper meaning of these words is about the return of Jesus Christ at the end of time.
The Gospel of John
Chapter 14
18 I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you. … 28 You heard how I told you, ‘I am going away, and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced because I said ‘I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.
